Summer Bucket List 2017
As this is the last Summer the boys and I will have together before they are attending school full-time (insert scream face here) I wanted to make a Summer bucket (wouldn't that be nice) list.
Even if we don't accomplish half of the things on here, it gives me ideas to look back on when there are days when not much is happening and we "have nothing to do"...
Obviously, some of these require some pre-planning, but the majority are spur of the moment things. Items listed like WDW obviously has already been in the works for a year. THAT one is happening.
In no particular order...
1. Go to Walt Disney World (first time!) ✔ (July 8-20)
2. Go on a Road Trip ✔ (July 2-23)
3. See Fireworks in Nashville, TN ✔ (July 4)
4. Strawberry picking ✔ (June)
5. Attend a festival, carnival or fair
6. Go to the Zoo ✔ (August 7)
7. Swim at the beach
8. Visit three new parks (68th and state, Fitchburg farm, cedarburg) ✔
9. Play in the sprinkler in the yard ✔
10. Run down the slip 'n slide ✔ (And break it...)
11. Grow vegetables in the garden ✔ (Carrots, tomatoes, peppers, herbs, squash...)
12. Take a bike ride as a family
13. Go on a nature hike
14. Have a water balloon fight
15. Visit two+ city pools (Hoyt Pool, Tosa)
16. Go to the Splash Pad ✔
17. Camp outside
18. Have S'mores by the campfire
19. Set up a Teddy Bear/ Lovie picnic
20. Do an outdoor painting
21. Catch fireflies ✔ (Home, 8.8.17)
22. Go on a bug hunt
23. Fly kites
24. Make ice cream in a bag
25. Have a lemonade stand
26. Wash cars/ bikes by hand
27. Play mini golf
28. Go to a farmers market
29. Go to a lake/pond-catch frogs, boat rides...
30. Learn hop-scotch with chalk
31. Have a museum day
32. Go bowling ✔ (August)
33. Go see a movie with popcorn ✔ (Cars 3, @ Disney Springs)
34. Create a marble track
35. Make boats and "sail" them.
36. Create a solar oven
37. Make pinecone bird feeders
38. Grow sunflowers (in progress...) ✔
39. Have Rootbeer floats
40. Attend a live music concert (Nashville symphony)
